The
Margaree Lodge is located at
the junction of the Ceilidh
Trail (Route 19) and the Cabot
Trail at Margaree Forks on the
western shores of Cape Breton
Island, in the Canadian maritime
province of Nova Scotia.
Directions:
From
Halifax International Airport
it is a 3.5 hour drive to Margaree.
First take the Trans-Canada
Highway (102), at Truro change
to the (104) which brings you
to Cape Breton. After crossing
the bridge in Port Hasting you
have two options at the rotary.
Option
one: Take the exit to Port Hood
(route 19), this is the coastal
drive. Keep going straight,
this road brings you directly
to us.
Option
two: Take the exit to Sydney,
Baddeck (Trans Canada highway
105). In Whycocomagh you can
turn to the left at the "Vice"
restaurant (also a sign Margaree
Forks), this road # 395 brings
you along Lake Ainslie. At the
end take a right onto route
19, from there drive about 7
minutes to us.
If you stay on the highway #
105, keep going up to the "Red
Barn" (restaurant &
gift shop), turn left onto the
Cabot Trail (there is a sign
"Margaree Forks). From
there it is about 50 km to us.

Daily
international flights leave
Halifax Airport, some are joining
oversea flights from Toronto
or Montreal International Airport.
It is a convenient drive from
the New England States, i.e.
Rhode Island, Maine, Massachusetts,
New Hampshire, Connecticut,
etc.
