The Margaree Lodge is located at the junction of the Ceilidh Trail (Route 19) and the Cabot Trail at Margaree Forks on the western shores of Cape Breton Island, in the Canadian maritime province of Nova Scotia.

Directions:

From Halifax International Airport it is a 3.5 hour drive to Margaree. First take the Trans-Canada Highway (102), at Truro change to the (104) which brings you to Cape Breton. After crossing the bridge in Port Hasting you have two options at the rotary.

Option one: Take the exit to Port Hood (route 19), this is the coastal drive. Keep going straight, this road brings you directly to us.

Option two: Take the exit to Sydney, Baddeck (Trans Canada highway 105). In Whycocomagh you can turn to the left at the "Vice" restaurant (also a sign Margaree Forks), this road # 395 brings you along Lake Ainslie. At the end take a right onto route 19, from there drive about 7 minutes to us.
If you stay on the highway # 105, keep going up to the "Red Barn" (restaurant & gift shop), turn left onto the Cabot Trail (there is a sign "Margaree Forks). From there it is about 50 km to us.

Daily international flights leave Halifax Airport, some are joining oversea flights from Toronto or Montreal International Airport. It is a convenient drive from the New England States, i.e. Rhode Island, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, etc.
