From the Big Intervale Fish Sanctuary the Margaree boasts pools that are a fisherman's delight. Names such as Blackrock, Boar's Back, Whitley Rock, Cranton's Bridge, Crowdis, Rock Pile, Swimming Hole, Little McDaniel, Brook Pool, Etheridge Pool, Doyle Pool, and Libbus have produced many catches that have sent the fly fishers heart pounding. These pools lead to one of the best known of the pools, the Forks Pool, just below The Margaree Lodge.
